Navy Careers: common questions
How long is Navy boot camp?
Recruit Training Command describes training as approximately nine weeks, on top of several in-processing days after arrival. Schedules can change, so confirm with your recruiter and the official Recruit Training Command site.
Where can I take the ASVAB?
Many high schools offer it through the ASVAB Career Exploration Program. A recruiter can also schedule the test at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) or a satellite testing site.
Is NavyMentor a recruiting site?
No. NavyMentor is an independent publication. We explain how the process works and link to official sources, but only a Navy recruiter can confirm your eligibility or start an application.
