Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on NavyMentor are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Amazon Associates

NavyMentor is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, NavyMentor earns from qualifying purchases.

How it works

• Buttons labelled “Check Price on Amazon” or “See on Amazon”, and checklist links labelled “See options”, are affiliate links.
• When you follow one and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
• These links open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored links in the page code.

What affiliate income does not influence

• What we recommend. Products are selected using our published methodology before any links are added.
• What we say about a product. Every recommendation lists trade-offs as well as strengths.
• Our informational guides. Articles on joining, training, fitness and transition are written to be useful on their own. Many contain no product links.

Brands cannot pay to be included in a guide, and we do not accept payment for favourable coverage.

Prices and availability

We do not display live prices. Prices, sellers and stock on Amazon change constantly, so always check the current listing before buying. We describe price levels only in broad terms such as budget, mid-range and premium.

Not an official endorsement

NavyMentor is independent and is not affiliated with the U.S. Navy or the U.S. Department of Defense. Nothing on this site is an official recommendation by any government agency, and the appearance of military imagery does not imply endorsement of any product.
